Binh Giang District (Hai Duong) will have a new commune named Thai Minh. This is one of the resolutions at the 12th Session (special session) of the 20th term People's Council of Binh Giang District held on the morning of April 9.
On the morning of April 9, the People's Council of Binh Giang district, term XX, held the 12th session (special session). The People's Council of the district passed a resolution on the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2025.
Accordingly, Binh Minh commune merged with Thai Hoc commune, taking the new commune name Thai Minh. The office of Thai Minh commune is the current office of Thai Hoc commune.
The arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Binh Giang district was agreed by the majority of voters in Binh Minh and Thai Hoc communes. The percentage of voters in Thai Hoc commune agreeing was 87.1%, and in Binh Minh commune was 81.8%.
After the arrangement, Binh Giang district has 15 commune-level administrative units including 14 communes and 1 town.
