The car crash at Bao Loc Pass (Lam Dong) is related to a serious murder case, because the man in the car was poisoned and died earlier.
On the afternoon of October 24, Bao Loc City Police (Lam Dong) issued an emergency arrest warrant for Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (39 years old, from Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap) to investigate the act of murder.
Trang was the driver of the car carrying the body of Mr. MHV (38 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) up Bao Loc pass on October 21 and drove the car down the cliff on the pass.
According to initial investigation, due to conflicts in love affairs, Trang went online to buy cyanide.
On October 20, while traveling with Mr. V. in a car with license plate 51L-320.10 from Dong Thap to Ho Chi Minh City, Trang poisoned Mr. V., causing the victim's death.
On the morning of October 21, Trang transported Mr. V.'s body from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat to dispose of it. Trang drove up and down Bao Loc Pass many times to choose the right time and position for the car to fall into the abyss.
At around 12:00 on October 21, Trang drove Mr. V. to km 104 +440 of National Highway 20 on Bao Loc Pass and then drove the car and the victim's body into a deep ravine with the intention of committing suicide. However, Trang only suffered minor injuries.
Receiving the news of a car falling down Bao Loc Pass, Madaguoi Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department) and Bao Loc City Police along with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of Region 3 (Lam Dong Provincial Police) arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and deploy rescue measures, bringing the bodies of Mr. V. and Trang from the deep abyss to the road surface.
At the time of rescue, the authorities discovered that Mr. V. had died in the car. Trang had minor injuries and was conscious, then transferred to Lam Dong II Hospital. The car was severely damaged, the airbags inside had deployed.
Lam Dong Provincial Police are continuing to coordinate with Bao Loc City Police and other relevant agencies to investigate and clarify this serious murder case.
