Five Laotians carrying 100 heroin cakes were traveling from La Lay border gate to Dong Ha city when they were arrested by border guards.
Accordingly, at 4:30 p.m. on May 23, at Km5, National Highway 15, in La Lay village, A Ngo commune, Dakrong district, Quang Tri province, the authorities caught red-handed 5 Lao nationals illegally transporting drugs from Laos to Vietnam, including: Phit Samay Colarat (24 years old), residing in Kaysone Phomvihane city, Savanakhet province (Laos); Nuta My Say (29 years old), Thip Lat Da But Sa Lat (23 years old), Bun Suleovan (47 years old) and Khen Leo Van (30 years old), all residing in Vientiane (Laos). The seized evidence was 100 cakes suspected to be heroin hidden in a car with Lao license plate 4735 along with many other related evidences.
At the authorities, the subjects confessed that the 100 cakes were heroin, transported for hire for a fee of 6,000 USD from Laos through La Lay international border gate to Vietnam for consumption.
The case is currently being investigated and expanded by the authorities.
