On the afternoon of October 8, news from the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police said the unit had just arrested two people for manufacturing and trading military weapons.

The two people arrested are Hoang Dinh Nam (35 years old), residing in Cu Yang commune, Ea Kar district, Dak Lak province, and Hoang Van Vu (24 years old), residing in Dong Hai 1 ward, Hai An district, Hai Phong city, to continue investigating and handling the acts of manufacturing, trading, and storing military guns.

According to the initial investigation results of the police, on July 28, the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police discovered a group of people who were illegally manufacturing, storing and trading military weapons, so they proceeded to verify and collect evidence. These people operated sophisticatedly, in many provinces and cities.

On August 7, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police established a special project to combat and eradicate.

Using many professional measures, the police arrested Nam in Cu Yang commune, Ea Kar district, Dak Lak province.

At the police station, Nam initially confessed that he used to be a mechanic. In early 2023, due to needing money to spend, he came up with the idea of ​​manufacturing military guns to sell to customers for profit.

To carry out the act, Nam went online to order guns, “modified” them, and then sold them to buyers, earning 2-3 million VND per gun. All transactions were made via social networks, with payments made by bank transfer, and Nam delivered the guns by sending them by bus to the provinces.

Since the beginning of 2023, Nam has manufactured and traded 13 guns of various types. Expanding the investigation, the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police sent a working group to Hai Phong City and successfully arrested Vu.

Initially, Vu also confessed that because he needed money to spend, he went online to buy 2 guns from Nam to resell to others for profit. During an urgent search of the two men's residence, the police seized 9 guns, 29 AK bullets, 820 bullets of various types, and 50 million VND.

At Nam's house, the police also seized many mechanical tools and lathes used to make guns.

The case is being further investigated and handled by Dak Lak Police in accordance with the law.
