According to information from the Ministry of Public Security, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho Province, Ho Dai Dung, was temporarily detained for gambling. Mr. Dung was arrested while working as an employee for a private company.

On July 29, the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency issued Notice No. 3384/TB-ANĐT-P4 regarding the arrest and temporary detention of Mr. Ho Dai Dung (born in 1972, in Phu Tho).
Accordingly, Mr. Ho Dai Dung was temporarily detained by the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency for "gambling" as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 321 of the Penal Code.
Mr. Dung is currently detained at B14 Detention Center of the Ministry of Public Security. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Dung was an employee of AS Company.
Previously, on July 19, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision No. 697 approving the results of the dismissal of Mr. Ho Dai Dung from the position of Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
On July 10, at the 8th session, the People's Council of Phu Tho province, term XIX, 2021-2026, voted unanimously to dismiss Mr. Ho Dai Dung from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and cease his duties as a delegate of the People's Council of Phu Tho province.
