2 subjects sentenced for murder

The court sentenced Nguyen Trong Thuong (born in 1977, residing in Duc Xuong commune, Gia Loc) to 6 years in prison under Clause 2, Article 123 of the Penal Code.

According to the indictment, due to a conflict and a challenge to fight, at 10:10 p.m. on April 28, 2023, in the new residential area of ​​Tho Xuong village, Duc Xuong commune (Gia Loc), Nguyen Van Hien (born in 2002, residing in Ung Hoe commune, Ninh Giang) chased and beat Thuong with a knife. Thuong used a wooden stick to hit Hien on the left side of his ribs and the top of his head, causing Hien to be injured, with a body injury rate of 54%.

Because he chased and beat Thuong with a knife, Nguyen Van Hien was administratively punished by Hai Duong Provincial Police.

In the second case, the court tried and sentenced Vu Van Tien (born in 1995, residing in Lam Thao commune, Luong Tai district, Bac Ninh) to 14 years in prison for murder under Clause 1, Article 123 of the Penal Code.

Due to a conflict, Mr. Tran Xuan Nghia (born in 1994, residing in Cam Hung commune, Cam Giang) challenged and threatened to beat Tien. At about 11:30 p.m. on March 11, 2023, on My Ngoc village road, Ngoc Lien commune (Cam Giang), Tien used a knife to stab Mr. Nghia once in the right abdomen.

Mr. Nghia suffered a perforated small intestine, perforated cecum, torn lumbar muscle bundle, and abdominal bleeding and had to be taken to the emergency room at Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital (Hanoi), with a body injury rate of 62%.

In 2011, Tien stole property and was sent to a reform school for 2 years by the People's Committee of Luong Tai district (Bac Ninh).
