On the afternoon of August 14, Bac Lieu Provincial Police decided to prosecute the criminal case of Murder at Paris Night Bar.
The provincial police temporarily detained Nguyen Trung Trang (born in 1991, permanent residence at No. 06, Phan Dang Luu Street, Binh Dinh Ward, An Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province; temporary residence at Ward 3, Bac Lieu City; security guard at Chill Garden Bar) to investigate and clarify the crime of murder under Clause 1, Article 123, Penal Code.
Specifically, at around 9:20 p.m. on August 13, Bac Lieu City Police received a report of a murder at Paris Night Bar (Vo Van Kiet Street, Hamlet 5, Ward 1, Bac Lieu City); then reported to the Provincial Police to proceed with the investigation.
Initial investigation results determined that at 8:00 p.m. on August 13, Nguyen Trung Trang and 4 friends went to Paris Night Bar to drink. Trang's group drank at Vip table 3.
At the same time, a group of guests were drinking at Vip table 6; including Nguyen Tu Vinh (born in 1982, permanent residence 73C/5, Ward 5, Bac Lieu City).
While drinking, the two sides had a conflict that led to a fight. Trang used a knife (a folding knife) to stab Vinh, causing the victim to die on the way to the emergency room. After committing the crime, Trang fled.
After identifying the perpetrator and receiving information that he was on the run to Soc Trang province, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Ngoc Dao, Head of the Criminal Police Department, Bac Lieu Provincial Police, directly called Trang, urging him to return to Bac Lieu to surrender.
The case is being investigated, clarified and handled by the authorities according to the provisions of law.
