Always improving, constantly innovating and creating is the motto of high-tech enterprises in the province. In the new spring of At Ty 2025, high-tech enterprises of Hai Duong are ready to conquer new heights.
Science elevates production
Hyundai Kefico Co., Ltd. in Dai An Industrial Park (Hai Duong City) is one of 60 high-tech industrial and supporting industrial enterprises in Hai Duong province. The enterprise is 100% invested by Korea, specializing in manufacturing spare parts and auxiliary parts for motor vehicles and engines; certified as a high-tech industrial enterprise by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Sharing with Hai Duong Newspaper reporters on a spring day, a representative of Hyundai Kefico said that as soon as the factory was established in Vietnam, specifically in Hai Duong in 2009, the company focused its efforts on meeting all current criteria of the Ministry of Science and Technology. “With efforts to apply science to the maximum in production, by 2011, Hyundai Kefico Vietnam was certified as a high-tech enterprise by the Ministry of Science and Technology,” said the representative of this company.
With the motto of putting customers' needs and requirements first, Hyundai Kefico always aims to establish an intelligent management system from product technology, production technology, quality control to corporate culture.
A series of technological innovation initiatives have been researched and applied. In 2024 alone, more than 1,300 creative ideas were applied to production, helping to improve and enhance product quality, contributing to the completion of the entire factory's processes. In addition, at the end of 2024, Hyundai Kefico Vietnam opened the Hanoi branch of the Software Development Center.
In the new year 2025, Hyundai Kefico Vietnam will focus on investing in research activities for new, environmentally friendly product lines and increasing the localization rate of products. The company aims to exceed the output of 81 million products, with expected revenue increasing by 325 billion VND compared to 2024.
On February 3, the factory of Eastech Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Cong Hoa Industrial Park (Chi Linh) also opened for spring. As one of the typical high-tech enterprises in this industrial park, Eastech Vietnam always affirms itself as a pioneer in applying technology to the production and assembly of headphones and audio speakers.
Present in Hai Duong in 2019, this enterprise has committed to the province to create products of superior quality and environmentally friendly production. Therefore, the enterprise has invested billions of VND to purchase modern machinery and equipment for production. Currently, the enterprise is creating jobs for more than 1,500 workers with an average income of nearly 8 million VND/person/month. Thanks to the application of modern science and technology in production, the number of products in 2024 will increase by 20% compared to previous years.
Eastech Vietnam leaders shared that many production stages only require human supervision, while robots do their own work. This increases productivity and accuracy for each product.
“In the coming time, the company will continue to increase automation and take advantage of new technology to improve production efficiency, while also focusing on improving the material life of workers,” said Ms. Patricia Chung, representative of Eastech Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Foundation for a new era
On the morning of February 3, each production line in the campus of more than 17,400 m2Ford Hai Duong Factory has also resumed operations. With 2 production shifts, the factory is expected to produce 14,000 Ford-branded cars in 2025.
Ford Vietnam General Director Ruchik Shah shared that Ford Hai Duong Factory is one of the first automobile manufacturers in Vietnam to achieve ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & QS 9000 and ISO/TS16949 – 2002 quality certificates… and is also one of Ford Motor’s key factories in the Asia Pacific region, always adhering to global production processes with the highest production quality, and an operating system with a very high level of automation.
2024 is a memorable year for Ford Vietnam with many important milestones, marking Ford's leading position in many segments of the Vietnamese automobile industry. The achievements have been achieved not only from high-quality products, but also by the application of a series of new service initiatives and customer experiences, appearing for the first time in the automobile industry such as FordPass, online ordering, mobile service vehicles or the "4 hours or free" service model.
“In 2025, we will make even greater efforts to consolidate our leading position and set new standards for the Vietnamese automobile industry. This will be a year of many dramatic changes for Ford,” said Ford Vietnam General Director Ruchik Shah.
Each of the above enterprises, regardless of the field, has one thing in common, which is to apply maximum scientific and technological achievements in production.
On January 13, at the national conference on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that with the goal of becoming a modern industrialized country by 2030 and a developed, high-income country by 2045, we must consider science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as key driving forces. This is the “golden key”, a vital factor to overcome the middle-income trap and the risk of falling behind, while realizing the aspiration of our nation to become strong and prosperous.
From a development strategy perspective, high-tech industrial enterprises are not only the core driving economic growth but also the pioneering force in applying science and technology into production practices, increasing added value and competitiveness of the economy.
In Hai Duong, the presence of enterprises such as Hyundai Kefico, Ford Vietnam, Eastech Vietnam, Sumidenso Vietnam, etc., along with many other high-tech industrial enterprises, has significantly contributed to the economic restructuring towards modernization. These enterprises not only create jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers, contribute greatly to the local budget, but also promote the spread of technology and improve the skills of workers in the province.
In addition, strong investment in industrial parks such as Dai An, Phuc Dien, Nam Sach, Cong Hoa, etc. is creating favorable conditions for Hai Duong to continue attracting large technology corporations, forming a modern supply chain, contributing to making Hai Duong a leading high-tech industrial center in the region.
In 2025, many industrial parks and clusters in Hai Duong will complete their infrastructure, creating favorable conditions to attract investment, especially high-tech investment projects. This is a premise for the province to strive to have 100 new technology, advanced technology, clean technology, and high-tech enterprises by 2025.
