VNPT scores a "hat trick" at the Security Bootcamp

News from Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) on September 10 said that this unit continues to become the champion at the Information Security Arena - Security Bootcamp 2023.

Thus, this is the third consecutive year that VNPT has won this competition.

Previously, on September 8 and 9, Security Bootcamp 2023 was successfully held in Da Nang city under the auspices of the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) and the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang. The event was organized by the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) in coordination with other units. The two main contents within the framework of the program are the Information Security Arena and the Information Security Workshop.

This year's Information Security Arena is assessed by experts to have more innovations, challenges and emotions. The exam questions compiled by the Security Bootcamp community have topics on AI and IoT devices, keeping up with current information security trends. This is also an opportunity for participating teams to compete and hone their professional skills.

With 21 teams including many strong competitors, VNPT continued to make a strong impression in the competition with a score of 5,350, surpassing teams from information security enterprises, banks, universities... and bringing home the Championship trophy for the third consecutive time.

GHTK, VPS Security and Duy Tan University Da Nang were the 3 teams that finished second and shared third place with scores of 4,650, 4,600 and 3,950 respectively. After nearly 2 days of continuous competition, VNPT maintained its form throughout the competition, surpassing the other teams with a large score difference.

At the IT security seminar, with the purpose of exchanging and sharing knowledge, many presentations received the attention of experts. The presentation on the topic of machine learning "Improve Kubernetes security with Machine Learning" by Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam - Head of Big Data Analysis Group (ATTT Center - VNPT-IT) presented some ways to apply machine learning to enhance security for Kubernetes in the context of this platform becoming more and more popular.

Machine learning is increasingly being widely applied, becoming a powerful support tool for IT engineers. VNPT Cyber ​​Threat Intelligence Platform (CTIP) is one of the systems that applies machine learning to the process of automatically updating knowledge and data.
