Along with the implementation of the 10Gbps high-speed Internet infrastructure project, VNPT is currently maintaining a reserve level of international Internet transmission channels of up to more than 40% capacity.
According to VNPT representative, with the current capacity, VNPT ensures fast connection speed to international servers even during peak hours. At peak times, the efficiency of using international Internet bandwidth only accounts for approximately 60% of VNPT's available channel capacity.
In addition, VNPT also reserves up to 40% of international Internet capacity, ready to serve customers in all cases, meeting the quality standards of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
VNPT said it is working closely with submarine cable management units to speed up the repair of the APG submarine cable. It is expected that the repair of the APG line will be completed in June, contributing to strengthening capacity and increasing VNPT's international internet capacity reserve ratio to 60%.

Along with the capacity reserve for bandwidth growth needs, VNPT's Internet quality is guaranteed to be higher than the national average. According to VNPT's quality monitoring results, download speed in May fluctuated from 92Mbps to 111Mbps, higher than the average of network operators nationwide (according to the announcement of Vietnam Internet Center at https://speedtest.vn/ is 90.59 Mbps). Similarly, VNPT's upload speed of 92.09Mbps is also higher than the national average of 89.56Mbps.
In September 2021, the Ministry of Information and Communications launched the National Digital Transformation Program, which aims to have fiber optic Internet infrastructure connecting 80% of households and 100% of communes by 2025. VNPT not only pioneers in applying new technologies to provide high-quality services but also pioneers in investing in modern network infrastructure systems to serve the needs of national digital transformation.
Recently, VNPT has also cooperated with Nokia Corporation to bring 10 Gigabit per second (10 Gbps) broadband technology to Vietnam. With this technology, Internet users can choose a service package with a speed of up to 10 Gbps. The initial deployment phase will connect 10,000 households and businesses in the 8 largest cities and provinces in the country, building the best telecommunications platform to deploy digital transformation solution ecosystems for the government and businesses.
VNPT representative shared that the group has participated in researching standards and testing towards multi-connection 7th generation Wifi with speeds up to 30Gb/s. Currently, VNPT has invested in 4 new submarine cable lines, of which the SJC-2 line is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of this year, adding 18T of international traffic for users in Vietnam.
