The National Assembly Standing Committee considers a series of important issues at the 32nd Session.

This afternoon, April 15, after National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue delivered the opening speech of the meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the proposed Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2025 and adjustments to the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2024 (including considering the proposal to develop a draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils).

Five draft laws were also discussed at this meeting, including: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy; Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); Law on Juvenile Justice; Law on Value Added Tax (amended) and comments on the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning.

Regarding the content of supervision, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave initial comments on the draft Report on the results of the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on ensuring traffic order and safety from 2009 to the end of 2023".

The results of the National Assembly's supervision delegation's supervision of "The implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program and the National Assembly's resolutions on a number of important national projects until the end of 2023" will also be considered.

Comment on the report on the implementation results of the 2023 Supervision Program and the first months of 2024, and the proposed 2025 Supervision Program of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Review the summary report on the results of monitoring legal documents in the areas under the responsibility of the Council of Nationalities and the Committees of the National Assembly in 2023.

Next to it is the report on the National Assembly's public opinion work in March 2024.

A series of reports and reports will be considered and discussed, such as: Report No. 01/TT-CTN dated March 1, 2024 of the President on signing a loan agreement between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) for the Priority Infrastructure and Urban Development Project adapting to climate change in Vinh city, Nghe An province.

Report on proposed adjustment of investment policy of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021 - 2023 period.

Document No. 112/TTr-CP dated March 28, 2024 of the Government on the Pre-Feasibility Study Report on the Investment Project for Construction of the North-South Expressway, Western Section, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc).

Report No. 71/BC-CP of the Government on a number of contents proposed to be amended and supplemented in Decree No. 08/2019/ND-CP dated January 23, 2019 stipulating a number of regimes for members of Vietnamese agencies abroad.

In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the reorganization of the Information Technology Center into the Department of Information Technology and Audit Data under the State Audit; and the preparation for the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly gave its written opinions on: The Government's report on the implementation of Resolution No. 93/2019/QH14 dated November 26, 2019 of the National Assembly on the investment policy of the Ka Pet Reservoir Project, Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province and Resolution No. 101/2023/QH15 dated June 24, 2023 of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly on adjusting a number of contents of Resolution No. 93/2019/QH14.

Government report on the implementation of Resolution No. 135/2020/QH14 dated November 17, 2020 of the National Assembly on changing the purpose of forest use to implement the Than River Reservoir Project, Ninh Thuan province and the Ban Mong Reservoir Project, Nghe An province.
