During 23 working days, the National Assembly voted to pass 8 laws and 17 resolutions, all with a very high approval rate. At the same time, the National Assembly gave its first opinions on 8 draft laws, discussed and resolved many other important contents. In general, since the beginning of the term, 112 out of 137 legislative research tasks of the entire term have been completed (reaching a rate of 81.8%). During the week between the two sessions, the agencies of the National Assembly, the Government, and functional agencies worked urgently and continuously. The National Assembly Standing Committee held a meeting for 4 days to give opinions, receive, and thoroughly explain the opinions of National Assembly deputies on projects and drafts.

The impressive results from the innovation in the activities of the National Assembly at the 5th Session were highly appreciated by many voters. "This Session also has a new highlight: the National Assembly will periodically hold conferences to disseminate and implement the laws and resolutions passed after each session. This will help the implementation have a specific program and demonstrate high determination so that the laws and resolutions will soon come into life and promptly promote efficiency and effectiveness in practice," said lawyer Nguyen Kieu Dong, Chairman of the Provincial Bar Association.

Some Hai Duong voters assessed that in addition to efforts to perfect the legal system and enhance the effectiveness of supervision, the National Assembly has promptly made many very important decisions on socio-economic and personnel matters.

At the 5th Session, 9 provincial National Assembly delegates participated in 47 speeches contributing to the draft laws, resolutions, and reports (an increase of 13 compared to the 4th Session). 4 delegates questioned and debated the Minister of Science and Technology and the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

However, some voters said that there are still some limitations that need to be clearly recognized at this session. Some Ministers gave long, roundabout answers, avoiding the issues questioned by the provincial National Assembly delegates. The Minister of Science and Technology even did not answer the question of delegate Nguyen Ngoc Son (National Assembly delegation of Hai Duong province) related to coal power.

After the session, the provincial National Assembly delegation divided into two groups to meet voters on June 26 in Nam Sach, Ninh Giang, Thanh Ha districts and Kinh Mon town to widely announce the results of the session and receive voters' opinions.
