Hanoi University of Industry announced on December 17 that it plans to enroll 7,990 students next year for 62 majors and training programs, an increase of 340 compared to this year.

The school uses 5 methods including: direct admission - PT1 (unlimited quota), considering international certificate scores or excellent student awards combined with the transcript scores of all three years of high school of three subjects in the combination - PT2 (10%); based on graduation exam results - PT3 (80%); based on the capacity assessment test scores of Hanoi National University combined with transcripts - PT4 (5%) and the thinking assessment test results of Hanoi University of Science and Technology combined with transcripts - PT5 (5%).

Compared to last year, Hanoi University of Industry stopped considering academic transcript scores independently, instead combining this criterion with international certificates, excellent student awards, and test scores to assess capacity and thinking.

Currently, some schools such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade have also reduced or eliminated the consideration of high school transcripts due to concerns about the uneven assessment and scoring of high school transcripts. In addition, next year's candidates will study under the 2018 general education program, each student chooses and has transcript scores in different subjects.

Regarding the admission combinations, the school plans to add a number of new combinations suitable for the new general education program, including A0C (math, physics, technology), A0T (math, physics, information technology), B0C (math, chemistry, technology), D0C (math, English, technology), D0G (math, English, economic education and law).

The expected admission criteria, methods and combinations for each industry are as follows:
