Central Youth Union organizes Peak Day "Volunteering to build civilized urban areas" in Hai Duong

Attending and directing the program were comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers. Comrades: Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front; Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also attended.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang said that "Volunteering to build civilized urban areas" is one of the core contents of the youth volunteer movement, oriented with the following activities: organizing union members and youth to build green, clean, beautiful and safe urban landscapes; eliminating black spots of environmental pollution; ensuring social order and safety; building a civilized lifestyle, cultural behavior; participating in building smart cities; focusing on expanding a number of specialized volunteer teams to coordinate and support functional forces to ensure social order and safety in urban areas.

With the theme "Youth volunteers for community life" of Youth Month, the Central Youth Union Secretariat simultaneously deployed the peak activity "Volunteering to build civilized urban areas" at 100% of urban Youth Union bases to orient provincial and municipal Youth Unions to design and deploy activities to promote the spirit of volunteerism of young people in carrying out projects and tasks to participate in building civilized urban areas, creating an environment for young people to practice, contribute, contribute to uniting and gathering young people in urban areas; enhance the role of union members and young people in promoting the building of civilized urban lifestyles.

Comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang suggested that the Youth Union at all levels step up propaganda on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies on the content, criteria, and methods of building civilized urban areas; propaganda methods and implementation of activities need to be innovative, diverse in content, and rich in implementation.

Youth Union chapters at all levels proactively advise and propose to Party committees and authorities to assign the Youth Union to undertake youth projects and tasks to participate in building infrastructure, especially transport and telecommunications infrastructure associated with digital transformation, implementing public works, undertaking the construction of green, clean and beautiful streets and roads, implementing a new cultural lifestyle in residential groups, etc. These projects and tasks need to be implemented with high determination, great effort, and drastic action, aiming for the products of Youth Union chapters at all levels and youth nationwide to be more substantial, practical, proactive and flexible.

At the program, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers awarded 10 scholarships to students with excellent academic and training achievements of Ho Chi Minh Primary School. The organizing committee presented 20 gifts to 20 students who overcame difficulties and had excellent academic achievements.

The Central Youth Union coordinated with units to donate the projects "Youth Tree Row", "Mural Road", "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Civilized - Safe" route with security cameras, "Playground for children", projects to support sports training equipment for children, 100 maps of Vietnam in response to the campaign "Proud of a strip of land and rivers" to Youth Union bases in Hai Duong province. The total value of the projects is nearly 200 million VND.

Immediately after the launching ceremony of the Peak Day of "Volunteering to build a civilized urban area", the youth union members of Chi Linh city participated in urban beautification on central roads, handling long-standing environmental pollution spots in the city, and propagating about building a civilized lifestyle and applying digital transformation in life to local people.
