Fanning the fire of volunteer enthusiasm of Hai Duong youth

Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Khac Toan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung, along with delegates of the Provincial Youth Union, Thanh Mien district and 700 youth union members.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung hoped that the enthusiasm and spirit of volunteerism of young people would be fanned and spread widely, attracting a large number of youth union members and other social forces to join hands to develop the youth volunteer movement more strongly, creating new values ​​for society.

He suggested that all levels of the Youth Union need to thoroughly grasp and effectively organize Youth Month, considering this an important time, creating momentum to successfully complete the program and tasks of the Youth Union, Association and youth movement in 2024 and the Resolution of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels for the 2022-2027 term.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Youth Union to attach importance to and promote activities to educate revolutionary ideals, patriotic traditions, and national pride for young people in various forms. At the same time, promote the creativity of young people, link digital transformation with activities to support young people in scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship. Promote emulation movements, create the best environment and conditions for young people to promote their pioneering role, voluntarily participate in implementing local socio-economic development programs and projects.

Youth Month 2024 with the theme "Hai Duong Youth Volunteers for Community Life", all levels of the Youth Union strive for 80,000 Youth Union members and young people to participate in volunteer activities organized by the Youth Union and Association; The provincial Youth Union presents at least 1 youth project worth 50 million VND; 100% of district and grassroots Youth Unions have at least 1 youth project or work to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024); 100% of district-level Youth Unions have at least 1 volunteer activity to participate in building civilized urban areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas; the whole province strives to organize free medical examination, consultation, and medicine for 1,500 policy families, former youth volunteers, young workers, and disadvantaged children; mobilize union members and young people to participate in voluntary blood donation, collecting 2,000 units of blood; plant at least 150,000 new trees.

To effectively implement Youth Month, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of the province directed the simultaneous launch of 8 youth volunteer teams, including: environmental protection, voluntary blood donation, maintaining traffic order and safety, community health care, supporting community digital transformation, building civilized urban areas, building new rural areas, and volunteering to serve the festival season.

At the launching ceremony, the climate change relief project of Crystal Group, Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited, Hai Duong Electricity donated 5 "Lighting up the Countryside Roads" projects, Thanh Dong University donated 1 "Youth Tree Row" project, Hai Duong Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development donated 600 maps of Vietnam, Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company donated 1 youth project and the companionship of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association to all levels of the Youth Union in the whole province. The total value of the projects is nearly 1 billion VND.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 gifts to students who overcame difficulties and studied well in Thanh Mien district. Vietcombank Hai Duong branch awarded 8 "Solid Future" scholarships to students with difficult circumstances and overcame difficulties and studied well in the province. Thanh Mien district awarded 20 gifts to children with difficult circumstances in the district from the scholarship fund. The total value of the gifts was 60 million VND.

After the launching ceremony, delegates and youth union members participated in planting 120 Bauhinia trees on the Doan Phu - La Xa inter-village road (Thanh Tung commune) to respond to the Tet tree planting festival to protect the environment in the year of the Dragon.
