The metal dumbbell weighs 7.26kg and is attached to a chain for athletes to throw. Ali Zankawi made a bad throw and caused an accident. Instead of flying straight out of the field, the dumbbell flew sideways, low to the right, hitting Huang Qinhua's leg as he sat.

Despite the protective net, the weight still went through, causing the referee to suffer serious injuries. Ali Zankawi was horrified when he discovered the accident and rushed to check on Mr. Huang Qinhua. Medical staff also quickly entered the field to provide first aid to the 62-year-old referee.

The footage shows referee Huang Qinhua's pants torn after the collision. His leg was broken and bleeding profusely. The referee tried to bear the pain while Ali Zankawi helped him immobilize his leg.

19th Asian Games spokesperson Xu Deqing confirmed that Mr. Huang Qinhua suffered an open fracture of his right tibia and underwent immediate surgery. The referee's health has stabilized.

Returning to the men's hammer throw competition, Ali Zankawi suffered a mental breakdown after throwing a weight that hit the referee's leg. The athlete could not improve on his previous throw of 67.57m and had to settle for 8th place. Meanwhile, the gold medalist was Wang Qi of China with a throw of 72.97m.
