The 19th ASIAD Women's Football Semi-finals have officially determined the 4 best teams participating after a "storm of goals" in the quarter-final matches that took place on the afternoon of September 30.

The four teams that qualified for the semi-finals were Uzbekistan, North Korea, Japan and host China.

In this match, the Uzbekistan Women's Team had the advantage with Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva leading 1-0 in the 55th minute.

However, they could not protect the result when they let Chinese Taipei equalize 1-1 in the 88th minute and were forced to enter extra time.

During extra time, Umida Zoirova shined with a goal in the 101st minute, helping Uzbekistan win 2-1 and advance to the semi-finals.

Uzbekistan's opponent in the semi-finals was North Korea, the team that defeated the Korean Women's Team with a score of 4-1 with consecutive goals in the final minutes of the match.

Ri Hak (double) along with An Myong-Song and Kim Kyong-yong took turns scoring to help North Korea successfully reverse the score after letting South Korea take the lead in the 11th minute.

In the two quarter-finals that followed, China and Japan had no difficulty winning against opponents from Southeast Asia.

Host team China defeated Thailand Women's Team 4-0 thanks to goals from Wang Shanshan, Wang Shuang (double) and Yang Lina.

Meanwhile, defending champion Japan continued to demonstrate its "destructive" power with an 8-1 victory over the Philippine Women's Team.

Mami Ueno had a great day when she scored 4 goals against the Philippines, Haruka Osawa contributed 2 goals, while the remaining two goals belonged to Tanikawa and Chiba.

In the semi-finals, the Chinese Women's Team will face the Japanese Women's Team in a match considered the "early final" of the 19th ASIAD Women's Football event.

According to the schedule, the semi-final match between Uzbekistan and Chinese Taipei will take place at 5:00 p.m. on October 3, while the China-Japan match will take place 2 hours later.
