2 heroes of U17 Vietnam must take doping test

At Okadh Stadium (Saudi Arabia) on the evening of April 7, Tran Gia Bao replaced Nguyen Van Bach from the 66th minute in the match between U17 Vietnam and U17 Japan in the second round of Group B of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship. In the fourth minute of injury time, he was fouled by the Japanese goalkeeper in the penalty area, earned a penalty and then successfully took it himself, bringing 1 point to U17 Vietnam.

Immediately after the match, Gia Bao was asked by the Organizing Committee to take a doping test with Hoang Trong Duy Khang. Before that, no Vietnamese player had to undergo this procedure at the tournament.

Duy Khang was the player who scored the equalizer 1-1 for U17 Vietnam in the match against U17 Australia on the evening of April 4.

After two matches at the U17 Asian Cup finals, Duy Khang started both matches and played 60 and 79 minutes respectively. Meanwhile, Gia Bao came off the bench twice, playing 30 and 24 minutes respectively.
