By the time of discovery, the subjects had illegally issued and sold value-added tax invoices to about 20 companies in many provinces and cities, with an estimated value of goods of over 700 billion VND.
Two subjects involved in the case of buying and selling invoices
On April 27, Lai Chau Provincial Police announced that they had successfully broken up an illegal invoice trading ring worth over VND700 billion, arresting three suspects: Nguyen Minh Hai (41 years old, residing in Hai Phong city); Nguyen Thi Tu Uyen (43 years old, residing in Bac Giang province) and Dang Thi Xuan (36 years old, residing in Bac Ninh province).
From the case of harboring illegal drug use that occurred in Bai Bang village, Giang Ma commune, Tam Duong district, the Economic Police Department (Lai Chau Provincial Police) took the lead in coordinating with professional units to detect and destroy the illegal trading of value-added invoices with the largest value of goods ever in the province.
With the purpose of buying and selling invoices to make a profit, Nguyen Minh Hai, Dang Thi Xuan and Nguyen Thi Tu Uyen established and acquired a number of "ghost companies" in several provinces, then tried to contact accountants or directors of companies that needed to buy value-added invoices at a rate of 1.5% to 2.5% of the pre-tax value of goods.
By the time of discovery, the subjects had illegally issued and sold value-added invoices to about 20 companies in many provinces and cities (Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi...), with an estimated value of goods of over 700 billion VND.
Previously, on April 16, Lai Chau Provincial Police initiated a case and prosecuted two suspects for the illegal trading of invoices at Viet Hung Construction Investment Consulting and Trading Company Limited, located in Zone 10, Muong Te Town, Muong Te District, Lai Chau Province.
