The Investigation Police Agency of Long Xuyen City Police, An Giang Province has just successfully cracked down on a case of 'illegally printing, issuing, and trading invoices and documents for state budget payments'.
During the investigation, it was determined that from 2007 to 2024, Truong Hong Sang established a total of 23 companies and enterprises in An Giang, Dong Thap provinces and Can Tho city.
During the implementation process, Sang colluded with a number of related subjects to issue and sell fake invoices to more than 360 individuals, companies, and businesses in and outside the province, with fake items: sand, asphalt, cement, eucalyptus piles, bricks of all kinds... The total number of fake invoices was 4,539 value-added tax invoices, the total fake sales revenue was over 269 billion VND, the total fake value-added tax was over 24.8 billion VND. Sang illegally profited from selling invoices of over 8 billion VND.
Based on the investigation results, the Long Xuyen City Police Investigation Agency has issued a decision to prosecute 15 defendants, issued a temporary detention order for Truong Hong Sang and a ban on leaving the place of residence for 14 related subjects to continue investigating the crime of "illegally printing, issuing, and trading invoices and documents for payment to the state budget".
The case is being further investigated by the Long Xuyen City Police Investigation Agency regarding the act of "tax evasion" against companies and businesses that illegally bought and sold invoices with Sang.
