Awarding ceremony of the Literary and Artistic Creation Campaign about the Coast Guard

According to Colonel Le Huy - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Coast Guard Command, although in a very short time, the Organizing Committee received 194 works in two genres of literature and music from 150 authors, including 128 authors from outside the Army and 22 authors working in the Army. The authors are all professional and non-professional musicians, writers, and poets working in many different fields and professions, across all regions of the country.

Regarding the professional quality of the works, the content of 194 works including 2 genres of literature and music all closely follow the theme "Vietnam Coast Guard - Steadfast at the forefront" and follow the rules of the campaign, clearly and truthfully reflecting the image of the Vietnam Coast Guard soldiers in all aspects and different approaches. Through the literary works, poems and melodies, the sentences have created a colorful picture of the Vietnam Coast Guard force in the present.

Regarding literary works, the works have closely followed the criteria of the Coast Guard force and the central image of "Vietnam Coast Guard Soldier". In general, the literary works have met the requirements, artistic quality, good ideological content, and high educational value. Many works clearly reflect the issues of life, work, tasks, thoughts, and feelings of Coast Guard officers and soldiers today with a multi-dimensional perspective. Some works have highlighted the spirit, will, determination, and belief of Coast Guard soldiers in the cause of protecting the sovereignty, security, and safety of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; have high educational significance, profound humanity, and the ability to widely propagate among officers, soldiers, and people.

For musical works, most of the works focus on the theme of the sea, islands and soldiers, especially building the image of the Vietnam Coast Guard soldiers. The works have used modern musical language; rich in exploration and creativity; showing a youthful writing style, strong melodies and rhythms of music with the sound of the sea, the breath and rhythm of life of the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Based on the campaign's rules and the responsible, impartial and objective working methods of the Art Council members, through two evaluations, scoring and unanimous selection of 28 works of good and excellent quality, including 14 literary works and 14 musical works.

Based on the selection results of the Art Council, the Organizing Committee of the campaign decided to award 2 works that won A prizes, 3 works that won B prizes, 4 works that won C prizes, and 5 works that won Encouragement prizes for the music genre. Award 2 works that won A prizes, 3 works that won B prizes, 4 works that won C prizes, and 5 works that won Encouragement prizes for the literature genre.
