Editors are considered for promotion to the professional title of Grade I when they have held the professional title of Grade II editor (or equivalent) for at least 6 years.
According to Circular 12/2024/TT-BTTTT of the Ministry of Information and Communications, from November 7, editors will be considered for promotion to the professional title of Grade I when they have held the professional title of Grade II editor (or equivalent) for at least 6 years.
During the time holding the professional title of Grade II editor (or equivalent), the editor has presided over or participated in editing at least 2 works that have won awards at the ministerial, department, sector, provincial level or awards organized by the Party agency at the central level, the socio-political organization at the central level, the Vietnam Journalists Association; or presided over at least 2 specialized scientific research topics and programs at the ministerial, provincial level or higher that the agency, unit managing and employing the civil servant is assigned to preside over research and development that have been issued or accepted by competent authorities.
During the time holding the professional title of Grade II editor (or equivalent), the editor is awarded a certificate of merit or achieves the title of emulation fighter at the ministerial, department, branch, provincial level or higher due to achievements in professional activities.
