1,200 wedding banquets in Hai Duong were displayed all over the tables, shocking the online community.
On August 10, the online community was overwhelmed and shocked when witnessing the image of 1,200 wedding banquets in Hai Duong. A wedding with hundreds of banquets is normal, but 1,200 banquets is truly unprecedented.
The post has the following content: 1,200 wedding banquets in Hai Duong, told to take time off work to attend the wedding but had to wake up even earlier than going to work to be on time for the meal.
This is only half of the 1,200 trays of food, looking at the chicken chopping makes me tired for the chopper. In this weather, if I chop it and don't bring it to the tray right away, the last plate might be rotten by the time the first plate is finished.
It's true that traditional things are indispensable, but sometimes the chicken dish is the one that has the most leftovers. Before, having a feast of 400 dishes was already terrifying, now there are 1,200 dishes. I don't know where people got the habit of being so generous."
Accompanying the content are images of beautifully chopped and neatly arranged plates of chicken on the tables and the sounds of chopping chicken and knives and cutting boards echoing throughout the room.
Immediately after the image of "1,200 wedding banquets in Hai Duong" was shared, it received many comments from the online community. Everyone was overwhelmed and left comments: "Last year, my husband and I had 370 banquets and cried because we couldn't manage it, but with 1,200 banquets, we'd have invited an entire district; "1,200 banquets with 6 people sitting there would be 7,200 people. We'd probably get married in a stadium to have enough space"; "The host is used to half of Vietnam."
Besides, many people expressed their admiration and concern for the service team: "Can you still hold chopsticks when you chop chicken?"; My hometown Hai Duong has a first-come, first-served policy. No matter what time you invite guests, they arrive more than an hour early, so the cooking team is always in the rush."
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Le Duy Dang, photographer and assistant chef of LC Restaurant in Hai Duong, said: "This is not a wedding as shared on social networks, we were ordered by guests to have 1,200 chicken dishes for lunch on August 8."
According to Mr. Dang, to prepare the number of chicken dishes for 1,200 trays, the team of chefs and waiters had to start working the night before. 600 chickens were boiled in 5 large 160l pots for 12 hours of continuous boiling to make it ready for chopping in the morning.
"Normally, people only order about 500-700 trays and eat at different times, which would be better, but this is 1,200 trays served in one time frame, so everyone is highly focused. Because the food is cooked in the middle of summer, it is easy to spoil, so the 6 of us have to share cutting chicken in the air-conditioned room," said Mr. Dang.
LC Restaurant representative also said: "Due to the large number of banquet tables, each unit will take on several stages. We were ordered to make 1,200 plates of chicken and fruit for dessert. We hired 600 chickens to be cleaned, boiled, and cut onto trays. There were 6 people involved in cutting the chickens, so the process was quick. This is the first time the restaurant has made such a large amount of chicken."
