August 6, 2023 11:31
According to the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), by August 22 at the latest, universities will announce 2023 university benchmark scores and admission results.
This year, the whole country has more than one million candidates taking the high school graduation exam, of which about 917,700 students registered to use the exam results for both high school graduation and university admission.
Mr. Hoang Minh Son - Deputy Minister of Education and Training, said that this year, the organization of university entrance exam registration for candidates has some new points.
In 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training will not adjust the admission mechanism but only modify some technical parts to make it more convenient for candidates. Specifically, Mr. Son said that implementing the policy on digital transformation in 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training has integrated additional data into the admission support system for admission consideration. Accordingly, candidates do not have to choose the admission method.

The Ministry of Education and Training only lets candidates choose their major and school, and the software will do the work itself to find the most optimal combination for candidates to choose.
Announce benchmark scores before 5:00 p.m. on August 22
From August 12 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, training institutions will coordinate with relevant units to review data on the system, then upload data and admission information to organize admission for registered candidates.
Virtual filtering and processing of candidates' wishes will be done 6 times on the system and will end on the afternoon of August 20.
Before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, universities will announce the 2023 university admission scores and admission results. Candidates should pay attention to receive admission and admission results on the system within the prescribed time.
Before 5:00 p.m. on September 6, all admitted candidates must confirm their admission online on the system.
If candidates do not confirm admission, they will have to wait for additional admission in the next admission rounds of the universities.
For candidates who are admitted directly according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, from July 5 to 5:00 p.m. on August 15, candidates can confirm their admission on the system.
Candidates who have confirmed their admission will not be allowed to register for the next admission, except in cases where the principal or director of the training institution allows them not to enroll.
In case of not yet determining admission, candidates can continue to register their admission wishes on the system or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates. If admitted, candidates will confirm their admission according to the general schedule.
From September 7 to December 2023, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds of training institutions will follow the admission plan posted on the schools' admission information pages.
Training institutions must accurately and fully report 2023 enrollment results on the system before December 31.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that as of the time the online registration portal was closed - the end of July 30, the Ministry's admission system recorded a total of more than 660,000 candidates who had entered their admission wishes with 3.4 million wishes, equivalent to 66% of the number of candidates registering for the 2023 high school graduation exam.
