According to the construction unit, up to now, Bac Hung Hai bridge, part of the East-West axis road project of Hai Duong province, has completed 80% of the construction volume and is expected to be completed in August 2024.
Bac Hung Hai Bridge spans the Bac Hung Hai irrigation system connecting Ha Ky and Phuong Ky communes (Tu Ky). The bridge is designed to be 320 m long and 12 m wide. The bridge structure consists of 3 continuous spans constructed using the cantilever method and 4 SuperT girder guide spans. The total construction value is 158 billion VND.
The project started in April 2023 and has now reached 80% of its volume. The contractor has completed all 6 piers, 3 main spans, 1 approach span, and cast all 20 superT girders. The remaining volume at 2 abutments M1 and M2 is waiting to be loaded.
Previously, the Bac Hung Hai bridge project was expected to be completed in June, but due to the loading process at abutments M1 and M2 having to wait for technical requirements to be met, the progress was adjusted to August 2024.
