Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company 18 is urgently constructing Bac Hung Hai bridge under the East-West axis road project, striving to put the project into use in May 2024.
The Bac Hung Hai bridge project belongs to the East-West axis road project across Cai River (also known as Tu Ky River, part of the Bac Hung Hai irrigation system) connecting Ha Ky and Phuong Ky communes (Tu Ky) with a total construction cost of 172 billion VND.
The bridge was constructed by Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 18 and started construction in February 2023. To ensure progress, the construction unit mobilized maximum human resources and vehicles to urgently construct the project.
Bac Hung Hai Bridge is located entirely in Tu Ky district but has the task of connecting with Ninh Giang district to create a smooth traffic axis.The bridge is 320m long, 12m wide with 3 main spans across the river.By early November 2023, the contractor had completed the construction of the beam casting yard, beam casting platform, SuperT beam floor beam line, completed 2 main pillars and 2 edge pillars, reaching more than 50% of the volume.To speed up the implementation progress, the construction unit mobilized 70 engineers and workers divided into 5 construction teams, working 3 shifts/day.The items are urgently deployed while still ensuring the quality of the project.It is expected that by the end of 2023, 65% of the volume will be completed and by May 2024, Bac Hung Hai bridge will be put into operation and use.The project investor is the Hai Duong Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, which regularly inspects and supervises the implementation to ensure the quality and progress of the project.THANH CHUNG-NGUYEN MO
