Mr. Le Truong Giang, director of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, was detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police to investigate the act of abusing his position and power while performing official duties.
On the afternoon of May 16, a leader of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province confirmed that Mr. Le Truong Giang - director of the Hung Temple historical relic site - is being detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police.
"Mr. Giang has been detained by the police since May 14 to clarify matters related to subordinate officials," said the leader of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province.
Previously, on May 14, the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police issued an order to temporarily detain a person in an emergency and decided to temporarily detain Mr. Le Truong Giang (54 years old) for the act of abusing his position and power while performing official duties.
When arrested, Mr. Le Truong Giang was working as the director - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site under the Party Committee of Phu Tho Province's agencies.
Therefore, the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police has sent a document reporting to the People's Committee of Phu Tho province about the law violations of party members to handle according to the Party's regulations and the State's laws.
