The Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency has initiated a case against three police officers of Dai Nghia town (My Duc, Hanoi) involved in the case of using homemade guns to shoot goats belonging to local people.

Three police officers of Dai Nghia town work with authorities after being detained by locals for shooting a goat to death.

On the afternoon of June 27, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to initiate a criminal case on property theft to investigate the case of three police officers shooting dead a citizen's goat.

At the same time, the investigation agency decided to temporarily detain three police officers of Dai Nghia town, My Duc district, including: Captain Nguyen Van Nhan, Senior Lieutenant Bui Dinh Viet and Senior Lieutenant Bui Tien Tung.

According to Hanoi Police, on June 26, the three police officers drove a car and carried an air gun into the Mao Ga mountain area, Ai Nang village, An Phu commune, My Duc district, to shoot birds.

While hunting birds, the group shot and killed two goats belonging to local people, put them in the trunk of a car and left. When they arrived at Ai Nang bridge, An Phu commune, the group was discovered and stopped by local people.

The above procedural decisions were made by the investigation agency one day after the incident of three police officers shooting dead a citizen's goat.

Based on the investigation results, on June 27, the director of Hanoi City Police signed a decision to strip the title of People's Police of three police officers of Dai Nghia town, including: Captain Nguyen Van Nhan, Senior Lieutenant Bui Dinh Viet and Senior Lieutenant Bui Tien Tung.

Previously, the incident of three people believed to be police officers of Dai Nghia town (My Duc district, Hanoi) shooting dead a goat belonging to a resident of An Phu commune (My Duc district) spread on social networks on June 26.

A leader of the People's Committee of My Duc district confirmed that the three people who shot and killed a goat belonging to a local resident in An Phu commune were police officers working at Dai Nghia town police station.

"Currently, the authorities are taking action. When they discovered that their goat had been shot dead, the people surrounded and detained the three police officers above, then the people reported to the An Phu Commune Police.

At that time, the people lost their property so they were very angry and asked for a solution on the spot. Then I reported the news to the District Police and a leader of the Hanoi City Police was also present at the scene to make a record.

We escorted the three police officers to the district to continue investigating and handling them according to legal procedures," the leader informed.

This person added that the three police officers were hunting birds when they saw goats eating on the mountain top and "got curious so they shot them".

"Seeing goats on the mountain top, thinking they were far from the people, they shot them. When they shot them down, they put them on the truck to go home. But many people had already lost their goats, so they accused these three people of stealing goats," the leader added.

It is known that the gun these three people used to shoot the goat was a homemade gun.

Request My Duc District Police to directly meet and apologize to the people

The Director of the City Police Department directed the review and handling of the responsibilities of relevant officers, leaders, and commanders in managing the officers who committed violations and violations of the law, and at the same time requested the My Duc District Police to directly meet and apologize and compensate the victim's family.
