The Gumball 3000 supercar journey held in mid-September in Ho Chi Minh City attracted much attention from domestic and international car enthusiasts. With a scale of up to 100 cars, this event brought many rare car models worth millions of USD and even some cars appeared for the first time on the streets of Vietnam.

The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC of a Korean tycoon is one of them. More specifically, the owner used the car throughout the journey instead of using a specialized vehicle to transport it through some bad roads. Right on the way from the car storage in Binh Duong to Le Loi Boulevard, the owner personally drove the car even though the chassis scraped a few times due to the bad road surface.

This hypercar model was launched on the global market in 2019, with a limited production of 40 units worldwide. At that time, each Huayra Roadster BC had a starting price of 3.5 million USD. To date, the value of the car on the transfer market has increased to more than 5 million USD (about 123 billion VND) depending on the car.

In Vietnam, there is currently only one Pagani Huayra (produced from 2011-2018) owned by tycoon Minh Nhua (businessman Pham Tran Nhat Minh) with a post-tax value of up to 80 billion VND. Compared to the BC convertible version in the article, the number of Huayras in the world is greater as the company announced a limited production of 100 units.

The word BC is an abbreviation of the name of an Italian businessman - Benny Caiola - a close friend of the founder of the Italian supercar brand Horacio Pagani, and also the first customer of Pagani.

The first Pagani Huayra Roadster BC to appear in Vietnam is more special than many others, because the body is made entirely of carbon fiber. The main color is moss green, combined with black in some details such as the hood, spoiler, headlight/taillight covers, hood and engine cover.

The rearview mirror on this million-dollar supercar does not use the electric open/close mechanism with a push button like other supercars, instead it still has to be opened/closed manually by hand. This helps reduce the weight of the car compared to its predecessor Huayra Roadster by up to 30 kg.

The car uses a set of 7-spoke Y-shaped rims, finished in a sporty black paint color and measuring 20 inches. The interior stands out with orange brake calipers, creating uniformity with some details such as the front bumper splitter, side skirts, etc. painted in similar colors.

Compared to the Coupe (hardtop) version, the Huayra Roadster BC has a wider spoiler and an engine cover that extends from the hood to the rear of the car. In addition, the carbon fiber hood can be manually removed. In particular, the car's automatic spoiler can create a downforce of up to 500 kg when the car is moving at a speed of 280 km/h.

The car's exhaust system has a traditional design on the Huayra line, including 4 exhaust pipes facing the rear and made from titanium to reduce the car's weight, while also having better heat resistance than stainless steel.

The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC still uses the same 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine hand-assembled by Mercedes-AMG as the regular version. However, this engine has been recalibrated for a maximum capacity of 791 horsepower and 1,050 Nm of maximum torque, combined with a 7-speed Xtrac single-clutch sequential gearbox and an electromechanical differential.

Although the car's performance is not announced, based on the test of Car And Driver, the ability to accelerate from 0-97 km/h takes 3.3 seconds - not an impressive number. However, the car can reach 290 km/h in just 16.5 seconds and a maximum speed of up to 415 km/h.
