On September 16, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Hai Duong province issued telegram No. 20 to withdraw the third alert on some rivers in the downstream area of the province from 8:00 a.m. the same day.
According to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station, the water levels of Thai Binh and Kinh Thay rivers are falling. The water levels of the rivers downstream fluctuate according to the tide. At 7:00 a.m. on September 16, the water level of Kinh Mon River at An Phu was 2.07 m, 0.13 m below alert level I; Gua River at Ba Nha was 1.96 m, 0.04 m below alert level I; Rang River at Quang Dat was 2.77 m, 0.27 m above alert level I. The water levels of the rivers downstream will fluctuate according to the influence of the tide.
The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue requests the Steering Committees of Tu Ky, Thanh Ha districts, Kinh Mon town, all levels and sectors to organize patrols and guard the dikes on the dike routes in the downstream area according to alert level II. Closely monitor the progress of dike works, especially embankments, culverts, dikes close to the river, the foot of the dike is lagoons, ponds, low-lying fields to promptly detect and handle any damage to the dike and irrigation works from the first hour. Check and evaluate the dike incidents that have been handled, if they are not safe, fix them to ensure flood safety, continue to closely monitor and promptly handle any unsafe developments.
Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Companies: Hai Duong, Bac Hung Hai coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Command Boards of districts, cities, and towns to strictly implement the pumping and drainage according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
