Hai Duong issues first alert on Luoc River system

The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Hai Duong province has just issued telegram No. 11 on issuing alert number I on the Luoc River system from 1:00 p.m. on September 10.

According to the Flood Warning News on rivers in Hai Duong province of the Hai Duong Provincial Hydrometeorological Station at the 11:00 a.m. bulletin on September 10, 2024, it is forecasted that in the next 12 to 24 hours, the water level on the Luoc River at La Tien will continue to rise, possibly exceeding alert level II.

Floods on rivers in Hai Duong province are rising rapidly. The water level at 1:00 p.m. on September 10 on the Thai Binh River at Pha Lai was 5.30m (0.30m above alert level 2), at Cat Khe was 4.66m (0.16m above alert level 2); Kinh Thay River at Ben Binh was 3.99m (0.49m above alert level 2); Gua River at Ba Nha was 2.47m (0.07m above alert level 2); Kinh Mon River at An Phu was 2.85m (0.05m below alert level 3); Rang River at Quang Dat was 2.65m (0.15m above alert level 2); Luoc River at La Tien was 4.29m (0.09m above alert level 1).

It is forecasted that in the next 12-24 hours, the water levels of rivers will continue to rise rapidly. On the Thai Binh River at Pha Lai, Cat Khe; Kinh Thay River at Ben Binh will continue to remain above alert level 2 and may reach alert level 3 early tomorrow morning, September 11.

On the Gua River at Ba Nha, Kinh Mon River at An Phu, Rang River at Quang Dat will rise due to the influence of the tide and upstream floods until the afternoon of September 10, it will reach alert level 3.

The water level on the Luoc River at La Tien continues to rise and is likely to reach alert level 2 on the evening of September 10.

Flood water levels can cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, low-lying areas in Hai Duong City, Chi Linh City and districts of Nam Sach, Thanh Ha, Kinh Mon, Kim Thanh, Ninh Giang, Thanh Mien... It is necessary to guard against local flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, areas along rivers and streams and flooding in low-lying areas.
