According to Reuters news agency, in a statement on November 22, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that the country's military is currently focusing on the war with Hamas and will destroy Hamas tunnels.

The Israel Defense Forces also released images of its soldiers beginning to enter the tunnel under the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, Al-Shifa, in Palestine.

In the video, Israeli soldiers are first seen approaching the open entrance of the above-ground tunnel in the Al-Shifa hospital complex and then seen entering the underground tunnel.

Inside the tunnel, the passages are quite spacious and the ceiling height is also comfortable for a soldier to move freely. In addition to the corridor, there are also rooms, the location of the sink is carefully tiled.

Reuters news agency said they were able to enter tunnels under Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier on November 20, the Israel Defense Forces released video footage of what they described as a 55-meter-long, 10-meter-deep tunnel beneath the Al-Shifa hospital complex. The tunnel ended in a gray door, believed to be intended to protect Hamas assets underground.

The following day, the Israel Defense Forces said they had broken through the door at the end of a tunnel discovered last week beneath the Al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip, which Israel accuses Hamas of using as a key command center.

In two photos released by the Israel Defense Forces, the door is seen open, and in the other photo, a view of what appears to be behind the door is shown, with a deep, concrete-built, vaulted hallway and two aluminum-glass doors that may belong to different rooms.

At the time, Reuters said it could not independently verify the location or date the photos were taken.

Hamas has claimed to have some 500km of tunnels under the Gaza Strip, but denies that these tunnels are located inside civilian infrastructure such as hospitals.

Meanwhile, Israel said the tunnels were used to hide weapons and ammunition, protect assets such as personnel and equipment, facilitate covert operations by Hamas militants in Palestine, as well as serve as command centers and shelters.
