The Israeli military announced that more than 100 rockets were fired from Lebanon early on the morning of September 22.
According to the announcement, the Israeli military said "approximately 20 rockets were detected coming from Lebanon" around 5am on September 22 (local time), followed by a barrage of "approximately 85 rockets" launched from Lebanon. The Israeli military added that rockets were also fired overnight. Four people were injured by shrapnel during the night.
The Israeli military also reported attacks from the east. Israel said that overnight, "multiple suspicious air targets" approached Israel from the direction of Iraq, but insisted that the targets were intercepted and no injuries were caused.
Also on September 22, Hezbollah said it had targeted military production facilities in northern Israel in response to explosions this week targeting Hezbollah communications equipment that killed dozens of people and injured nearly 3,000.
Earlier on September 21, the Israeli army announced new restrictions on communities in northern Israel, including Haifa City, and some areas in the southern Golan Heights starting at 8:30 p.m. (local time).
Accordingly, the IDF limits gatherings to 30 participants in open spaces and 300 participants in closed spaces. Educational activities can continue and people can go to work as long as the workplace is safe.
