This gun was discovered by Mr. Nguyen Van Chien in Le Loi commune, Gia Loc district (Hai Duong) while dredging a canal near his house.

On the morning of August 17, at the working place of the Le Loi Commune Police (Gia Loc, Hai Duong), Mr. Nguyen Van Chien (residing in Doi Hong village) handed over a used M16 gun with a rusty surface, no magazine, gun stock and black handguard. Mr. Chien discovered the gun on August 15 while dredging a canal near his house to build a business.
Previously, while patrolling the sandy area near the village cultural house, Mr. Pham Quy Khuan, Head of the Chuoi village security team, discovered a sack containing a homemade sword measuring 120x3 cm and a 3-section stick.
These are two cases of voluntary surrender of weapons and explosives right after Le Loi commune organized the establishment of a force to participate in protecting security and order at the grassroots level.
