PGBank dismissed Mr. Oliver Schwatzhaupt from the position of Chairman after nearly two months of appointment and elected General Director Nguyen Phi Hung to replace him.
The above information has just been announced by Petrolimex Petroleum Bank (PGBank). PGBank's Board of Directors has approved the dismissal of Mr. Oliver Schwatzhaupt from the position of Chairman according to his personal wishes. The bank also dismissed Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung from the position of General Director and elected him to the position of Chairman to replace Mr. Oliver, from July 2.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung graduated with a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology - AIT. He has over 20 years of experience in the banking and finance industry, having held many positions at Maritime Bank (MSB), Global Petroleum Bank (GPBank) and Citibank NA Hanoi.
In November 2020, Mr. Hung joined PGBank as Acting General Director and was officially appointed as CEO on December 10, 2020. In July 2021, he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of PGBank.
Mr. Oliver Schwatzhaupt was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of PGBank in April 2022 and has held the position of Chairman since May 4. Similar to the new Chairman of PGBank, Mr. Oliver is also a former leader at MSB.
At the bank's executive board, PGBank's Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Pham Manh Thang, former Deputy General Director of Vietcombank, as Acting General Director of this bank.
Mr. Pham Manh Thang, born on July 24, 1962, is a Doctor of Economics and has more than 30 years of experience working in the banking and finance sector. He has held many important positions at the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), the highest of which is Deputy General Director of this bank since March 2014. In May this year, he left Vietcombank due to retirement under the regime.
