Starting out as a garment worker, but with the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and being quick to adapt to the market, Ms. Phan Thi Huong, born in 1980, in Cam Lo village, Tan Viet commune (Thanh Ha) opened her own company, creating jobs for many rural workers, contributing to the development of the local socio-economy.
In the workshop area of over 300 m2, more than 30 workers are working enthusiastically to quickly complete orders for delivery to partner companies. Ms. Phan Thi Huong, Director of Nam Duong TH Garment Company Limited, is also working and enthusiastically instructing workers to have the best products.
In 2008, she started working as a worker for a garment company in an industrial park. Thanks to her quick wit and diligence, she was promoted to product quality manager. While working there, she realized that the company was collaborating with businesses and garment factories to process finished products, so she boldly quit her job to find a way to open her own company.
In 2018, after a period of thinking, preparing capital, and thoroughly researching, she decided to open Nam Duong TH Garment Company Limited, located in Cam Lo village (Tan Viet commune), to process clothing products for a company in Nam Sach industrial park. By opening the company, Ms. Huong hopes to create jobs for many women in the commune, especially the elderly and disadvantaged women, so that they can work near home and have more time to take care of their families.
When the company was first established, it had only 8 employees. Now it has 35 employees with an income of 7-8 million VND/person/month. Many women are hard-working and quick-witted, so their income can be higher. The company's monthly revenue reaches more than 300 million VND.
Not only developing the company, Ms. Huong also actively participates in movements and campaigns launched by associations, unions and localities. During the Covid-19 outbreak, she donated over 1,000 masks to the locality; together with the Women's Union of the commune, distributed free masks to women going to the market; donated many items to the people of the Central region affected by floods...
Ms. Vu Thi Huyen, President of the Women's Union of Tan Viet Commune, said: "Ms. Huong is a typical example of a good businesswoman in Tan Viet Commune. Her company not only creates jobs for many disadvantaged women in the commune but also actively participates in local movements. She is a shining example for women in the commune to learn from and follow."
