According to the Ministry of Health's Cold Season Health Care Guide, during cold weather days, people may encounter some common health problems such as: colds, asthma, sore throat, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, flu, stroke, carbon monoxide poisoning due to heating, cooking... The main causes are prolonged exposure or working in cold environments or sudden changes in environmental temperature.

Some people at high risk of health problems in cold weather are the elderly, children and pregnant women, people who work outdoors or in cold, windy environments with little sunlight, people with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, asthma, cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal system, etc.

Especially, in cold weather days, people need to pay attention to dangerous symptoms of the body such as: headache, dizziness, chest tightness, discomfort, numbness in limbs... When these symptoms appear, people need to keep their body warm immediately and go to a medical facility for a health check.

Cold weather puts extra strain on the heart; therefore, people with heart disease and high blood pressure should check and follow the advice of a specialist. Blood pressure should be checked and monitored regularly, even for young people and those without a history of heart disease or high blood pressure.

When the body is exposed to cold temperatures for a long time, it can cause hypothermia, especially in the elderly, thin people, people with chronic diseases, malnourished children, and infants; with symptoms such as: tremors, exhaustion, confusion, memory loss, slurred speech, and drowsiness...

In newborns, bright red or cold skin; especially shivering is an important first sign that the baby's body is losing heat. In this case, the baby needs to be warmed immediately.

When infected with a cold, the body may have a cough and fever; when these symptoms appear, people need to see a doctor for appropriate diagnosis and treatment; should not buy medicine on their own, especially antibiotics for treatment.
