For nearly a year now, Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, owner of Dien Hoa crab and worm farm in An Dinh village, An Thanh commune, has become accustomed to trading on e-commerce platforms. Thanks to these channels, her crab and worm products are increasingly known to consumers in and outside the province.

Ms. Hoa was guided at home by members of the Tu Ky District Community Digital Technology Team on how to set up a page, promote products, and create payment accounts on e-commerce platforms such as Voso and Postmart. At peak times, her family sold 70-100 products on e-commerce platforms each day, accounting for 50% of the family's products consumed. Ms. Hoa shared: "Selling on e-commerce platforms not only helps us to be more dynamic, access digital technology, and find more new customers. Thanks to that, consumption is also more convenient than before."

Through an introduction, Minh Tu embroidery production facility in Hung Dao commune learned about the Postmart.vn platform of Vietnam Post Corporation. Previously, customers mainly came directly to the facility to learn about and buy products. Thanks to the e-commerce platform, products are widely promoted and consumption is also more stable. The steps from posting products, closing orders to making payments are all done quickly.

A representative of Minh Tu embroidery facility said that selling products on e-commerce platforms is a way to preserve and develop traditional craft villages in the current competitive market environment.

Up to now, the community digital technology teams in the district have guided and supported a number of businesses, cooperatives, and households to put 14 products on sale on e-commerce platforms. These are OCOP products, products of traditional craft villages, typical agricultural products such as: Hoa Nhuong embroidery paintings; Minh Tu embroidered bags and wallets; Thanh Loan rice (same as Hung Dao commune); Dien Hoa fish sauce, rice with crab, frozen crab, frozen crab, pot of crab, crab cake (same as An Thanh commune), oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and cordyceps mushrooms (same as Quang Phuc commune). The stalls are mainly opened on the Postmart.vn platform of Vietnam Post Corporation and the Voso.vn platform of Viettel Post Corporation.

To support households in building digital booths on e-commerce platforms, Tu Ky district has promoted the core role of community digital technology teams. The district currently has 128 community digital technology teams at the commune and village levels with 615 members participating. Members of the community digital technology teams have all participated in training courses on digital transformation, actively promoted and guided people to access and use non-cash payment services; supported the establishment and registration of accounts on e-commerce platforms...

Although it has been effective, the consumption of goods through e-commerce platforms still has some limitations. This sales method is quite new, while farmers are used to selling through traders and traditional channels. Guidance and training for agricultural production households face many difficulties; there is still confusion in consulting and closing orders...

According to Mr. Duong Ha Hai, Vice Chairman of Tu Ky District People's Committee, thanks to the support from the government, the efforts of production and e-commerce entities in Tu Ky District in recent years have developed rapidly, helping many households change traditional production methods and consume products conveniently. Putting products on e-commerce trading floors is also one of the effective solutions to promote brand image, while affirming the value and quality of products.

"In the coming time, the district will continue to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to organize training and improve digital transformation capacity for farmers. The district People's Committee will coordinate to create all conditions for businesses to connect and consume products on e-commerce platforms, towards the goal of "Each agricultural production household is a digital booth", said Mr. Hai.
