Love books because books are the knowledge of humanity, books are the bridge between past and present knowledge, shortening the distance of time and space and we all share the same green planet, the Earth".
Not only do publishing units focus on Tet books, but authors also release their works on the special occasion of Tet.
For many years, every holiday season, poet Nguyen Phong Viet (Ho Chi Minh City) has published a book of poetry or essays to share his feelings and life experiences with readers.
Since 2020, the author born in 1980 has started a special project called“We live,”Share the author's reflections and thoughts when looking back on the past year and looking forward to a new journey.
“We live to move on”is the fourth collection of essays in this series.“Are we happy living?”, “We live because…”and“We live to listen.”
Author Nguyen Phong Viet believes that“We live to move on”is the way each person has to face reality, accept it... and learn to grow up after the turning points that life creates. Because after all, we - everyone wants to be better every day. So the only way is to continue to prove that we deserve a better new life tomorrow.
On the occasion of Tet, journalist Ngo Ba Luc (Hanoi) introduces to readers the third book of essays in his career, titled"The moon shines brightly in the countryside"The work is a journey back in time, recreating childhood memories, customs and culture of Kinh Bac.
In particular, the atmosphere of preparing for Lunar New Year - a sacred moment for Vietnamese families - appears vividly through each page.
“I write a lot about Tet Nguyen Dan through my own real memories. I want to write about Tet in the past, so that adults can recall the past, bringing them beautiful emotions, and for young people, they will have a basic idea of Tet Nguyen Dan, so that they can understand and love Tet with national traditions more,” the author shared.
Before its official launch, the book was well received by readers with nearly 1,000 copies sold through journalist Ngo Ba Luc's personal page. All proceeds from the book will be donated to the Wind Field Fund, established by journalist Ngo Ba Luc in 2016. This fund has maintained charitable activities, such as giving Tet gifts to patients at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion on the afternoon of the 30th of Tet every year.
