Lang Son Provincial Police said they are temporarily detaining Nguyen Van Dam (53 years old, in Vu Lang commune, Bac Son district, Lang Son province) to investigate the murder.
Suspect at police station
Police determined that in early 2022, suspect Nguyen Van Dam (born in 1970, in Vu Lang commune, Bac Son district) bought fertilizer on credit from Ms. D.TT (born in 1982, in Vu Le commune, Bac Son district) for 6 million VND.
After that, Nguyen Van Dam borrowed another 4 million VND in cash from Ms. D.TT. At about 1:30 p.m. on June 9, Ms. D.TT went to Dam's house to collect the debt.
While talking, a conflict arose. Dam went to the kitchen to get a knife and stabbed her repeatedly, causing Ms. D.TT to die on the spot. After committing the crime, Dam went to Vu Lang Commune Police to surrender.
Currently, Nguyen Van Dam is being detained at Bac Son District Police to serve the investigation and clarify the case.
