According to Ms. Nhu Thi Nhan, Head of Hoach Trach Village, Thai Hoc Commune (Binh Giang, Hai Duong), this July, villagers contributed 150 million VND and working days to renovate the village pond into a swimming pond.
The swimming pond in the center of the village, about 3,250 square meters wide, has an embankment, gravel filling the pond bed; the water is treated with microorganisms. People installed high-pressure lamps and arranged many stone benches around the pond.
The conversion of the village pond into a swimming pond has attracted more than 200 people to swim every day.
