Hearing unusual loud laughter coming from the bedroom, the family went in to check and discovered the 2-month-old baby boy had died, with a wound on the mother's hand.
On September 15, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thuan Province Police coordinated with professional units and Phan Thiet City Police to conduct a crime scene investigation and autopsy to investigate the cause of death of a 2-month-old boy.
According to initial information, in the early morning of the same day, family members heard loud laughter coming from the bedroom of Ms. NTNQ (37 years old, residing in Thien Nghiep commune, Phan Thiet city).
Thinking something was wrong, they went in to check and found the baby boy (about 2 months old, Ms. Q.'s son) dead, with a wound on his neck. Next to her, Ms. Q. also had a wound on her wrist, so her family took her to the emergency room.
According to her family, Ms. Q. showed signs of postpartum depression.
Through examination, the authorities initially seized a knife in Ms. Q's bedroom.
Binh Thuan Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
