Banks are continuing to update and compile information about customer losses. No bank has announced specific support levels for customers who have suffered losses, such as debt repayment restructuring, loan interest exemption and reduction, etc.

On September 9, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) sent a document to the Chairman of the Board of Directors/Board of Members, General Directors of banks and Directors of SBV branches in provinces and cities regarding the implementation of solutions to support customers in overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 3.

Some commercial banks said they are continuing to update and compile information about customer losses. No bank has announced specific support levels for customers who have suffered losses, such as debt repayment restructuring, loan interest exemption and reduction, etc.

Since September 9, Agribank has organized working groups to assess the situation and visit customers who have suffered losses due to natural disasters. This is the first commercial bank to do so right after storm No. 3 swept through Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, etc.

Surveying the actual situation in Hai Phong, one of the places where storm No. 3 made landfall with the strongest winds and caused the most damage, Mr. Pham Toan Vuong, General Director of Agribank, directed branches in Hai Phong City to proactively contact loan customers, grasp the damage to promptly have appropriate support solutions.

ABIC Insurance Company promptly grasped information and carried out procedures to compensate customers for damages. Branches proactively coordinated with local authorities to implement social security work for families suffering from human and property damage, and areas severely affected by the storm...

It is known that members of Agribank's board of directors were also present in Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, and Thai Binh provinces right after storm No. 3. Here, branches were required to focus on calculating the damage of loan customers and propose and implement timely support policies so that customers can soon stabilize and restore production and business.

Similarly, the leadership of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has also gone to provinces and cities affected by storms and floods to provide immediate support to families that suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods.

The entire banking sector responded to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people affected by storm No. 3. At the launching ceremony, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Dao Minh Tu donated 37.4 billion VND in support.
