Bugatti Chiron is one of the most famous hypercar models in the world, but few people know that the headlights of this car are equal in price to a supercar.
Bugatti Chiron is one of the rare hypercars in the world today that supercar enthusiasts can immediately recognize by looking at the headlights. With only 500 units produced globally, Chiron is not only unique in design, rare in quantity but also extremely expensive when it comes to spare parts or maintenance.
A prime example is the price of a set of Valeo headlights for the Chiron. On eBay in Germany, these headlights are being sold for around 147,000 euros (equivalent to 4.083 billion VND). This is enough money to buy a new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. It is worth noting that this is only the cost of a set of headlights, not the entire lighting system of the car.
However, if you search carefully, you can find a more “reasonable” price in Poland, where the same headlight is being sold for around €98,000 (over 2.7 billion VND). Shipping the headlight to European countries is around €1,000 (about 27.7 million VND), except for Russia and Ukraine. Shipping to countries outside of Europe can be more expensive.
Spending a large sum of money just to replace a set of headlights makes many people think twice before owning a Bugatti Chiron. Not only are these parts expensive, they are also rare and hard to find. With a limited number of cars produced, owning a Chiron requires the owner to not only have passion but also have strong financial resources to maintain and keep the car in the best condition.
Other parts of the Chiron aren’t cheap either. Taillights, for example, cost around $10,000 each, key replacements are $13,547, and a set of tires can run you up to $8,449.
The cost of replacing brake discs and pads can be up to more than $40,000, and the transmission costs $185,000. In addition, the annual maintenance cost of the car is not less than $11,500.
Overall, the Bugatti Chiron is not only a symbol of speed and luxury but also a financial challenge for its owners. To maintain and service this car, the owner needs to be ready to invest large sums of money.
