Mercedes-Benz E-Class 2024 transformed with huge screen, competing with BMW 5-Series when coming to Vietnam

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be a tough competitor to the BMW 5-Series when it arrives in Vietnam.
At BIMS 2024, the German brand officially announced the selling price in the Thai market for two versions, the E 220d AMG and E 350e AMG. The selling price is 3.99 million baht and 4.25 million baht respectively (converted to about 2.79 billion and 2.97 billion VND). The car mentioned in the article is the high-end version.
The new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class is on display at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2024 (BIMS 2024).
This model has a direct competitor, the BMW 5-Series, which may arrive in Vietnam in the middle of this year. Meanwhile, the new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class remains quiet in the domestic market.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has a rounded shape similar to its "big brother" the S-Class. The exterior is equipped with an AMG Line bodykit with sportier front/rear bumpers.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a signature "falling star" grille with a highlight of LED strips around the edge that can glow at night. The German automaker's most advanced Digital Light headlight system is equipped on the E 350e version. Lower versions only use High Performance LED lights.
The Mercedes-Benz E 350d rides on 20-inch two-tone multi-spoke wheels. The E 220d rides on 1-inch smaller wheels. Both are equipped with the Agility Control adaptive suspension system.
Unlike the C-Class and S-Class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has a unique taillight cluster with the company's logo pattern. This makes the car easier to recognize from a distance in dark conditions.
Inside, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a Superscreen cluster on the dashboard, including a 14.4-inch main screen and a 12.3-inch screen on the passenger seat. Compared to the Hyperscreen on some Mercedes electric vehicles, the Superscreen has a smaller area because the speedometer is placed separately, not under the same glass layer as the other two screens.
This Superscreen is slightly better than its rival, the new generation BMW 5-Series, even "surpassing" the S-Class, which is the most luxurious sedan of the 3-pointed star brand.
A selfie camera appears on the dashboard. This feature only works when the car is stationary. Another function is that passengers in the 2024 E-Class can hold remote online meetings.
The interior LED lighting system has been an indispensable detail on Mercedes-Benz models in recent years.
Because it is equipped with the AMG Line package, the steering wheel also has a sporty, thick design like real AMG models.
The two rows of seats are basically no different from the previous generation.
