Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations visits and works in Guangxi (China)

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Central Committee of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association have just organized a delegation to visit and work in the Zhuang Autonomous Region in Guangxi Province (China). The delegation has 12 delegates led by Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, former Vietnamese Ambassador to China, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations. The delegation includes delegates from the following provinces: Hai Duong, Cao Bang, Bac Giang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Nghe An.

During the 7 days (from December 2-8) in the Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Vietnamese delegation was received and worked with by leaders of the CPPCC, the Foreign Affairs Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and leaders of several localities.

The delegation visited historical revolutionary sites - where President Ho Chi Minh lived and carried out revolutionary activities in Guangxi such as: Ho Chi Minh Memorial House with the Zhuang ethnic group, Ho Chi Minh Cave at Phuc Dong Mountain (Tinh Tay City, Bach Sac District), President Ho Chi Minh's former residence in Lieu Chau City, and the Eighth Route Army Office (where Uncle Ho once visited and worked).

The delegation visited Duc Tai School in Nanning and Duc Tai School in Guilin. These are schools for Vietnamese students and cadres built with China's help from 1951 to 1975. The delegation visited Nam Khe Son Hospital (where over 5,000 wounded and sick Vietnamese soldiers were received and treated during the anti-American war). The delegates together reviewed history, preserved and promoted the good and precious values ​​left by previous generations.

This is an activity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Uncle Ho's revolutionary activities in China (1924 - 2024), towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025).
