Previously, according to the news, at about 1:50 p.m. on November 22, two subjects Nguyen Manh Cuong and Tran Van Tri robbed the transaction office of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) on Ngu Hanh Son Street (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City).
When entering the bank, a suspect held a gun and fired into the air to threaten the security guard, then used weapons and force to threaten and rob money.

Security guards, bank employees and local residents chased after the suspects. Tran Van Tri was arrested on the spot, while Nguyen Manh Cuong used a knife to stab security guard Tran Minh Thanh and injure him while trying to escape.
About 1 hour later, Nguyen Manh Cuong was captured by Da Nang City Police while hiding in Son Tra district.
