Nghe An Provincial Police said that at 2:30 p.m. on November 15, professional units coordinated with Cua Lo Town Police, Vinh City, and Nghi Loc District Police to arrest Tuan Anh, 28 years old, while he was hiding in Xuan Linh Commune, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province - more than 30 km from the crime scene.
Tuan Anh is the Deputy Director of a wood processing factory in Nghi Xuan district. Initially, the suspect said that due to debt, he planned to rob a bank branch in Cua Lo town to pay off the debt.
Police seized the suspect's motorbike, knife, cell phone and some related evidence.

At around 3:30 p.m. on November 14, the suspect, wearing long-sleeved clothes, a helmet, a mask, and a bag, entered the bank's private counter (customers are not allowed to use this entrance). He then held a knife to the female teller. An officer standing a few meters away saw the incident and the store was closed, so he shouted.
The robber immediately jumped over the counter and ran away, followed by some bank officers and security guards. Once at the gate, he got on a motorbike and escaped.
The bank said the robbers had not taken any money.
