On March 14, at the Hai Phong Sports Training and Competition Center, the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Vietnam Shooting Federation organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 National Air Gun Championship.

The tournament gathered 250 athletes from 12 provinces, cities and units: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Hai Duong, Quang Nam, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Thanh Hoa, People's Public Security and People's Army.

The 2023 National Air Gun Championship is an opportunity for provinces, cities and sectors across the country to compete and affirm their position; thereby discovering and adding athletes with outstanding achievements to the national team to participate in international competitions in the coming time. At the same time, through the tournament, capacity will be tested, assessed and improved in the management and organization of competitions at the local level.

At the opening ceremony, after 2 days of competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to athletes in several categories: 10m standard air rifle for young women, 10m standard mobile air rifle for young women in teams, 10m individual air rifle for young men...
