Hezbollah attacked several military sites in northern Israel and the Golan Heights on the afternoon of September 8 (local time), prompting the Israeli army to respond with airstrikes that injured three civilians.

Hezbollah issued a statement admitting to carrying out the above incidents, saying its fighters attacked the al-Zaoura area in the Golan Heights with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), targeting Iron Dome air defense systems and Israeli military positions in retaliation for Tel Aviv's previous raids on southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah also confirmed that it had carried out a drone attack on Israel's Ras al-Naqoura Naval Base in response to an attack on the Lebanese village of Froun on September 7, which killed three civil defense workers.

Also on September 8, the Israel Defense Forces said that Hezbollah's attack was divided into two waves. The first wave took place from 1:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. (local time) and about 20 missiles were launched.

In the second attack, about 30 missiles were launched consecutively at 5:30 a.m. (local time).

Israel said its defense systems intercepted several Hezbollah missiles.

In recent weeks, the intensity of fighting between Hezbollah and Israel has steadily increased, forcing tens of thousands of civilians on both sides of the Lebanon-Israel border to flee their homes in search of temporary safety.
